Words cannot describe how excited I am about this photography studio. I never thought it would happen so early, as I have only officially started my business about a year and a half ago.
When I decided to take the plunge and become a full time photographer, my goal was mainly to do weddings, as my passion lies in artistic photography – I believe weddings can be an outlet for that. My first year I booked 12 weddings, and that just proved to me that it is what I am meant to be doing. I had such a successful first year, but somehow in the midst of the focus of my wedding season, I lost all goals and drive for other types of photography that will keep me alive during my off season! I forgot about how much I love photographing little kids, as they are so fun, outgoing, and full of surprises. And not to mention that I actually get to use my Child Psychology degree a little bit! (see, it wasn’t a complete waste:)
My plans for this photography studio is mainly for newborns to one-year-olds, head shots, meeting clients, and commercial work for anything that will fit into the space. Thank you to Sally from Pink Caterpillar Photography for sharing the space with me and for allowing me to take the reigns on the decorating. I wouldn’t be able to afford it without you, and I really hope that this space is beneficial for our businesses to grow in the future!
If you have any kids, or are expecting a newborn, I have SO MANY ideas and props. I am offering 30% off session fees until August 1st! Email me to reserve your spot, I am only taking 1-2 clients per week.
Before: It was still pretty cute, but the walls made it feel a bit dark.

After!!! I painted the walls mint green, added a white and metallic gray striping on accent wall, picked out furniture, and refinished the coffee table into a glamourous sparkly vintage love piece.
