Hello!

Welcome to my website & blog! This is where I ramble on and on about how much I love photography, my pets, espresso, and whatever fruits and vegetables are in season at the time.

A few things on the history of "moi":

I was born and raised on a diary farm in Central Minnesota. The town I am from has a population of roughly 2,200 people. Throughout my childhood I never had fewer than 20 cats, 3 dogs, 2 horses and 25 cows as pets. Yes the cows were my pets. Probably why I am so obsessed my cat, Rilla, and my dog, Barley now. They even have their own hashtags.

I lived on an island on Lake Michigan where I met the best friends of my life. That was back in 2002 and we all still email each other every day. (I love you Tree!) I also spent some time living in Seattle & Austin, TX where it was way too hot.

I was a server and bartender for over 10 years before I "found my calling," so I will forever tip no less than 25%, even if I receive bad service.

I miss Minnesota, so I do about 30% of my business there, and the rest is in Oregon and all over the world. All while living in the beautiful PACNW.

I am lucky enough to have met the love of my life, James, who is also my best friend. Without him I would not be able to do what I love, and he is the reason I am able to live my dream. (And no, we are not married yet. :)

And to be cliche, I.LOVE.PHOTOGRAPHY. Not a day goes by where I am not extremely thankful that I am able to do something that I enjoy for a living. The only word I can use to describe how a photo makes me feel, is the word LOVE. First love. Smitten love. Those first kiss butterflies. That moment that is captured in time is a moment you will see forever. You will look back upon it to remember what you once looked like. To show to your Grandchildren. To re-live that time of your life. And to feel the way you felt when that shutter clicked.
